College launches A Level ‘Futures Academy’

A Level learners who have not applied to University, or perhaps feel that University might not be for them, have an exciting employment / work based learning opportunity.

The Better Jobs Better Futures team has developed a focused programme for up to 20 A Level learners. The programme will run for eight weeks and each learner will get a mentor that they will meet during A2 tutorial time, focussing on an exit plan for leaving college after completing their A Levels.

The objective of the programme is to enable learners to understand the vast range of opportunities available to them; Higher Apprenticeships (Degree Level), Internships, Work Based Learning and Employment

We will be launching this amazing initiative on Thursday Jan 18th at 12.30pm in room A16 and interested learners will need to attend to find out more and make an expression of interest.

On Thursday 25th Jan interested learners will come for a brief interview to secure their place on the programme. The Academy Programme will formally begin on Thursday February 8th.
